Every AI angle generator, including AngleAI, is limited by the information in your upload. A soft, shadowy, cluttered phone snap gives the model very little to work with and the generated angles will look invented. A crisp, evenly lit, front-on photo gives it almost everything it needs.
You do not need a studio. You need about fifteen minutes and a window.
1. Find north-facing daylight. Indirect window light is soft, free and flattering.
2. Use a white sweep. A single sheet of A2 white card curved from the wall to the table removes the horizon line and gives you a seamless background.
3. Bounce the shadow side. A second white card opposite the window lifts the dark side of the product.
4. Steady the camera. A cheap tripod, or brace your phone against a stack of books. Motion blur destroys AI output.
5. Turn the flash off. On-camera flash flattens the product and creates hard specular hotspots.
6. Lock exposure and focus. Tap and hold on the product on most phones.
7. Shoot at product height, straight on. Not down at an angle — that perspective is baked into the file and confuses the rotation.
8. Fill 80% of the frame. Crop tight before uploading.
9. Shoot the highest resolution available. Downscaling later is easy; upscaling is not.
10. Take three frames and pick the sharpest. Zoom to 100% before you choose.
Before uploading, ask three questions: Can I see the product's material clearly? Can I see where the product meets the surface it sits on? Is the whole product inside the frame? If the answer to all three is yes, you will get usable angles.
